Wife left a bag of dogfood open in the garage. Went out to get food to feed the dog and there was a mouse in the bag. She screams, knocks over bag, mouse runs away. We don't have any traps, so I go to CVS and all they have are crappy plastic one. I come home, bait it with peanut butter and go in the house. Ten mins later hear this strange scraping sound in the garage, go out. Mouse, so fat it was literally a ball with a head and arms, is in the trap, just it's head though because the traps are so weak. It is pushing the trap across the floor. I pick up the trap, carry it down the street to the park and let it go with a stern warning to never come back or I won't be so nice next time.

Reset trap, next morning going to work, trap is sprung. As I'm about to reset it, I see a tail coming out of one side and a nose out the other. Pick it up and a mouse is alive and basically held by it's tail and snout inside the trap. Not as fat, so it's not the same one. Take him and let him go after a stern warning as well.

Stopped on the way home from work and bought real traps and bait trays. Never saw another mouse or sign of one in the garage again. Guess those stern warning worked.
